Calling 911 For No Reason Is a No No

A 41-year-old Concord man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly calling the police dispatch center more than 100 times over the  weekend, Concord police said.

Police tried to get the man to stop calling, but he continued to  do so, Concord police Cpl. James Carroll said.

Officers identified the caller as Frank Baldazo and went to his house at about 5:45 p.m., but he wasn't there, Lt. Jim Lardieri said. They  returned again about an hour later, but he still wasn't there.

The officers returned a third time at about 9:45 p.m. and found  Baldazo's vehicle parked in the rear of the residence, Lardieri said.

Once they talked to him, the officers began to suspect Baldazo was  under the influence of a narcotic, Lardieri said.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of  drugs and making a false report of an emergency, Lardieri said.

Baldazo is being held at the Martinez Detention Facility on $5,000  bail, according to county jail officials.
