    Caltrans will close a portion of U.S. Highway 101 in Palo Alto from Tuesday to Sunday so crews can pave and stripe the median.     Caltrans will close a portion of U.S. Highway 101 in Palo Alto from Tuesday to Sunday so crews can pave and stripe the median. Southbound Route 101 will have a new striping configuration, where traffic would be moved towards the median k-rail.

    The work is part of the San Francisquito Creek Bridge Replacement Project at the border of San Mateo County and Santa Clara County on U.S. Route 101 in Palo Alto.

    Here are the closures:

    U.S. Route 101 Southbound:
    Lanes 1 & 2 closed between University Avenue and Embarcadero Road, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 7 - 8, from 9 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

    U.S. Route 101 Southbound:
    Lanes 1 & 2 closed between University Avenue and Embarcadero Road, Thursday, July 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

    U.S. Route 101 Southbound:
    Alternate Lanes will be closed between University Avenue and Embarcadero Road, Friday & Saturday, July 10 - 11, from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.

    University On-ramp to U.S.Route 101 Southbound:
    On-ramp will be closed, Friday, July 10, from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Detour will be in place.

    Embarcadero Off-ramp from U.S.Route 101 Southbound:

    Off-ramp will be closed, Friday & Saturday, July 10-11, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Detour will be in place.
