Car Crashes into Bedroom of Antioch Home

A car crashed through a bedroom in Antioch early Saturday morning. - Jan. 25, 2014.

An Antioch woman was not hurt after a car crashed through her bedroom early Saturday morning while she was sleeping.

Police said the driver lost control and went through one home before rolling over into a second home at about 12:01 a.m. The car ended up upside down in a front yard on Buchanan Road near Highway 4.

One witness said his mother-in-law, who suffers from dementia, was on sleeping pills at the time of the crash and did not hear a sound.

“I walked in there to check and see if she was OK," Kyle Boone said. "I asked her if she was OK. She said yeah, and went right back to sleep.”

The crash also took out the PG&E curbside power box and knocked out power for six blocks.
