Things are changing in Carmel. For the first time, it will cost money to park on the street.
The "quaint" seaside town in Monterey County will see its first-ever parking meters installed early next month, according to the Monterey Herald.
Exact details have yet to be divulged. It appears that the meters will be "multi-space" and will be installed in the first week of November following a public meeting on Oct. 23, the newspaper reported.
The meters will go up on Ocean Avenue between Junipero Street and Monte Verde Street, according to the newspaper.
