Walking around upstairs at the Austin Hilton, visitors come across a group on the floor, assembling boxes and filling them with various types of cereal. They were gluing custom labels on the boxes as well.
Who were these guys? They are Cerealize, the winners of this year's Startup Bus contest.
Startup Bus started as a sort-of joke, where a group travels from San Francisco to Austin for SXSW, and come up with a business along the way.
Cerealize, made up of eleven people from various tech companies, lets the user customize their own cereal, and for a mere $8, it will be delivered to their front door.
In just a short amount of time, the team was able to put together a website, a social presence, and product.
The website lets the user pick anything from mini-cookies, to grain-O's, to flakes and other options. After that you can upload your own design.
Now you can have those Leo Laporte-flakes you've always wanted.
