Children Accused of Abusing Kittens

Children in Watsonville are wanted by animal control authorities for strangling kittens.

Animal shelter officials in Santa Cruz County want law enforcement officials to crack down on three children they suspect of abusing kittens, according to reports.

Two girls and a boy were allegedly seen in Watsonville abusing a trio of kittens, according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel. They fled before authorities arrived.

The kittens are believed to have suffered brain damage after the children tied bits of string around their necks, the newspaper reported.

One of the trio was so severely injured it had to be euthanized. It was believed to have been thrown against a wall.

All three kids are under 10 years old, and all three were identified by name by a witness, the newspaper reported.
