Club to Clink: SF Man Arrested With 3 Gallons of GHB

Federal agents arrested a San Francisco man last week after he allegedly tried to sell three gallons of a notorious date-rape drug to an informant, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

Zay Yar Sithu, 35, plead not guilty to a felony charge related to the sale of three gallon containers of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid, or GHB, according to the newspaper.

GHB, popular on the club/rave scene for its "euphoric" effect, is also known as the "date rape" drug, and can be fatal when mixed with alcohol.

Sithu was arrested outside his Dolores Heights home on Monday. Sithu says he bought the stuff from "a source" for $4,800 per gallon and wanted to sell it for $6,500 per gallon, the newspaper reported.
