What says classic fun better than a Ferris wheel?
If there is one thing more American than baseball it just might be the County Fair. Now the San Francisco Giants and AT&T Park are combining the two right on site.
The parking lot across from McCovey Cove has been transformed into a pretty much full scale county fair. It has 20 rides, a pie-eating contest and a country music star to cap it off Saturday night.
The fair opened this past weekend and runs through Sunday. It will cost you $5 to get in and unlimited rides are $20. You can also pay per ride.
The headlining act Saturday night is one of the hottest country acts in the USA: Kenny Chesney .
The fair has all the trappings of a typical county fair. That includes a sledgehammer challenge to ring a bell, a Ferris wheel and other ways to lose money in hopes of getting that "must have" oversized stuffed animal.
Each day has special musical acts and, yes, there will be livestock to pet.
And if you missed fireworks on the 4th for any reason, tonight is your night. Monday will end with a big fireworks display.
