DAVIS, Calif. -- It's cute. It's cuddly. It's the H1N1 toy.

A new pink plush toy depicting this year's nasty flu bug is selling well at the Explorit Science Center in Davis.

The goal is to get people to talk about the flu and ways to avoid getting sick.

Peter Willson, marketing director for the center, said the toy makes a great gift for a co-worker or family member who may catch the virus.

The soft microbe toy, which sells for $7.50, comes with a fact sheet offering information about the flu.

The center is also selling stuffed versions of the chickenpox, the common cold and staph infections.
