Cupertino Suspect's Vehicle Recovered

A man who survived a violent attack that left his wife dead and him with severe injuries told a newspaper that he does not remember anything about the event.

Bing Yi says he heard nothing and saw nothing on Friday, when his wife, Weiwei Li was killed at the couple's recently finished dream home. Authorities say the couple's 10-year-old daughter found them and called 911.

The Santa Clara County sheriff's department is looking for 45-year-old Huaichang Zhao of Fremont, a landscape architect they have identified as a suspect in the case.

Santa Clara County sheriff's detectives announced Monday afternoon they have his white Ford pick-up truck.

Detectives are hoping to find evidence related to the attack inside the truck.

Zhao was doing landscape work on the victims' home, the sheriff's office reported. He is described as a Chinese man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall  and 200 pounds. Zhao was last driving a Ford F150.

Yi told the San Jose Mercury News that he had employed Zhao for a week at the new home the couple lived in with their two children, 6 and 10. The children are in protective custody.
