Damage at NorCal Cemetery Irreplaceable

A Northern California cemetery will never be the same following a destructive vandalism spree late last week.

Nearly 40 headstones were damaged or knocked over at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Sonora.  Police listed the physical cost of the damage at $80,0000, but said some of the headstone that were destroyed can't be replaced.

Anthony Briggs-Razzari, 21 of Sonora, has been charged with the crime.  Police said they were able to catch up with him thanks to two very detailed descriptions of the person doing the damage and running from the area.

Police said some of the damaged stones were determined to be irreplaceable. Many stones were broken, and several others were moved from their original plots. KCRA.com said that will make it difficult, if not impossible, to determine their original location.
