Davis Hits Home Run No. 40, A's Take Series From Rangers

The Khris Davis power show continued Sunday as the slugging outfielder blasted two more home runs en route to 40 on the year in the A's 5-2 win over the Rangers in Arlington.

Saying that Davis has owned the Rangers is beyond an understatement. With his two homers, Davis became the first player ever to hit 10 home runs in one season against the Rangers.

Davis is only the fifth player in Oakland history with at least 40 home runs in one season.

The A's trailed 2-1 before using patience to score two runs in the sixth inning to get Colby Lewis out of the game. Oakland added two more insurance runs with Davis second deep fly in the eighth inning.

With the win, the A's improved to 66-83 on the season.
