Demolition Continues at Candlestick Park

With each passing day, chunks of Candlestick Park fall into a pile of debris.

We shot new video of this Bay Area landmark that is quickly becoming more and more unrecognizable.

As of yesterday, roughly half of the stadium remains standing, while the other half has been reduced to rubble.

Lennar Urban, along with partner and mall-owner Macerich Corp., are planning construction of an outlet mall, a hotel and the first 600 homes at the site by late 2017 or early 2018.

The 49ers left Candlestick Park after the 2013 season for a new $1.2 billion stadium in Santa Clara.
