Driver “Sneezes,” Crashes at San Leandro Car Lot

The truck spilled some diesel after the sneeze

A 42-year-old Modesto driver who sneezed ended up ramming his dump truck into 10 cars at the United Auto Center in San Leandro early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lucinda Grider, the owner of the lot, told NBC Bay Area that the driver, identified as Antonio Zamora,  lost control of his rig when he sneezed at the lot on East 14th Street before 5 a.m.

Zamora, according to the CHP,  jerked the wheel somewhere during the "achoo."

His truck jumped the curb, tore down a fence and plowed into several used cars and trucks at United Auto Center, according to CHP Officer Daniel Jacowitz.

No injuries have been reported

The truck spilled 30 gallons of diesel fuel from parked trucks, which Caltrans crews had to clean up.

Police said they are not going to write the driver a ticket. Apparently, there is no crime against sneezing.
