‘It's Very Unnerving and Frightening': Dublin Residents on Edge After Coyote Kills Family Cat

An East Bay community is on edge after a woman said a coyote killed a family cat.

Dublin-resident Kim Taylor said the coyote several weeks ago jumped into a fenced-in yard at her home on Inspiration Circle and then attacked the pet.

"It was just a bit shocking and eerie to see it looking in our yard at us," Taylor said.

Taylor took photos of the coyote before it jumped into her yard and killed her neighbor's visiting pet "Mama Cat."

Joanne Miumi is devastated her family pet became prey. Miumi and her neighbors have lived right next to the open space for years without worrying about the wildlife.

"We need to co-exist, but in my yard I didn't expect that to happen," Taylor said. "It's very unnerving and frightening, and it causes me caution every time I go out."
