Woman With Alzheimer's Found on Peninsula

Menlo Park police asked for and received the public's help finding a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's Disease.

About 90 minutes after putting out the call for people to keep an eye out for Midge Matsumura, 77, who left her home in the middle of the night last night, the reported they had found her. 

"Midge has been located safe and sound with very minor injuries. Thank you for everyone's help!" the police Tweet read. 

Police did not say who found her or how, but the important thing is that she was found.

Matsumura is Japanese, 5'5", 140 pounds with gray hair who was last seen wearing an off-white hoodie, blue shorts, and flipflops.

Menlo Park police it is believed she walked away from her home on Willow Road around 1 a.m. Thursday.

She had no immediate family or friends in the area, and no probable destination.
