Elderly Woman Missing From Brentwood Found

Police are searching for Blanca Millerstrom of Brentwood, who went missing Tuesday.

An elderly woman reported missing from Brentwood has been found safe, officials said.

Eighty-year-old Blanca Millerstrom, who suffers from the early stages of dementia, was reported missing from her Brentwood home and was believed to be in the Oakland area after her car was found abandoned there, police said.

Her family last spoke to her by phone at about 1 p.m. Tuesday. But her family could not reach her Wednesday and found her car and dog missing from her home.

The car, a 2007 brown Nissan Altima, was discovered with the dog inside on Bay Place near Oakland's Lake Merritt but Millerstrom was not nearby.
