A Bay Area teacher is on leave after he reportedly asked students to find their parents' sex toys then text him selfies with them for extra credit.

The Alameda Unified School District is now investigating the claim against the Encinal High School teacher.

Students say the popular geometry teacher was just joking, but parents aren't laughing.

The school district released a statement that said, in part, "The safety of students, families and staff is of great importance to all of us, and district staff are now taking steps to address this situation in the ways we are legally required."
