The Blue and Gold Fleet canceled some San Francisco ferry trips this morning from Tiburon, Vallejo and Alameda-Oakland due to the stormy weather, vice president of operations Carolyn Horgan said.

The 7:50 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. ferries from Tiburon to San Francisco were canceled but the 10:50 a.m. ferry from San Francisco to Tiburon remained in service, Horgan said.

The 9:15 a.m. ferry from Oakland-Alameda to San Francisco was canceled, Horgan said. The 10:15 a.m., noon and 1:45 p.m. ferries from San  Francisco to Oakland-Alameda have also been canceled, Horgan said.

The 8:45 a.m. ferry from Vallejo to San Francisco was cancelled but the 10 a.m. ferry from Vallejo was in service, she said.

The 9:45 a.m. ferry from San Francisco to Angel Island also was canceled, Horgan said.

Blue and Gold Fleet will re-evaluate the situation at about 3 p.m. to decide whether to cancel any afternoon ferries, Horgan said.

Golden Gate Ferry took its high-speed catamaran MV Napa out of service this morning because of high winds on the Bay, Golden Gate Bridge,  Highway and Transportation District spokeswoman Mary Currie said.

The catamaran carries riders between Larkspur and San Francisco.

Larkspur ferry service continued this morning using two 715-passenger Spaulding vessels that are larger and can operate safely in the  current conditions.

Currie said the MV Napa will return to service this afternoon for the 2:15 p.m. Larkspur departure.
