Before the three armed suspects robbed a Stockton bank and took three hostages -- one of whom died in a hail of gunfire during a gun battle with police -- someone gave them a ride.
Now the FBI is helping Stockton police and contributing to a $50,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the person who dropped off the alleged robbers, two of whom also died during last week's incident, according to KCRA.
Misty Holt-Singh, 41, who was at the Bank of the West branch on July 16, died after she was taken hostage and held in a vehicle that was pursued out of town and then back into Stockton.
It's still not clear how she died, but she was used as a human shield by the robbers during the heist, authorities said.
The other two hostages escaped with "minor gunshot wounds," according to reports.
The vehicle used to drop the robbers off at the bank, a black sedan, has been found.
Alleged robber and hostage-taker Jamie Ramos, 19, of Stockton, was arraigned on three murder counts and 22 counts of attempted murder.
