A two-alarm fire broke out late Sunday night at a popular shopping center in Mill Valley, damaging a spa and a nearby sushi restaurant.

Firefighters were called to the Strawberry Village Shopping Center on the Redwood Highway Frontage road near Highway 101 at 3:31 a.m. after getting calls about smoke coming from a day spa called Evo Spa in the 200 Building.

Crews arrived within seven minutes and started attacking the fire.

Firefighters from Southern Marin Fire say the damage was mostly contained to the laundry room.

There was some smoke damage to a neighboring sushi restaurant.  No other stores were affected and no injuries were reported.  Damage estimates are at $50,000.

Fire investigators are searching for a cause.
