The fire broke out around 8 a.m. at 20 E. Taylor St., according to San Jose fire Capt. Peter Caponio.

The flames began in a back bedroom and quickly spread to the rest of the house, firefighters said. After 20 minutes, crews were able to knock down the blaze. The fire was brought under control by 9:01 a.m., Caponio said.

Of the six displaced residents, three of them are children, according to Caponio. They're now receiving help from the Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
