Firefighters in Contra Costa County responded to fires in a residential neighborhood in Brentwood and at an apartment complex in Concord late Sunday, according to Contra Costa fire officials.
The Brentwood fire was reported on Hanson Lane near Homecoming Way. There was no official word on the cause of the blaze, but fire officials suspected it was fireworks-related.
In Concord, the fire at a two-story apartment building at 2451 Olivera Road forced some evacuations, fire officials said.
