    A two-alarm fire aripped through the Glass Slipper Inn in Palo Alto on Tuesday night, displacing around 20 people, according to fire officials. (Published Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016)

    A two-alarm fire aripped through the Glass Slipper Inn in Palo Alto on Tuesday night, displacing around 20 people, according to fire officials.

    The fire broke out just before 9 p.m. on the second floor of the inn, located 3914 El Camino Real.

    Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze at the iconic motel, and safely evacuate all the motel guests with no injuries reported.

    Around 20 guests were displaced as a result of the fire and the American Red Cross was called to the scene for assistance.

    The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
