Firefighters battled a one-alarm electrical fire at an adult party supply store in San Jose early Friday morning.
The fire was reported at Party Time, located near the intersection of West San Carlos Street and Meridian Avenue, at about 4:15 a.m., according to San Jose Fire Capt. Mike Van Elgort.
Firefighters arrived at the closed store to find an exterior fire that was spreading into the attic space of the building, Van Elgort said. The blaze was knocked down in about 30 minutes.
An electrical box was still smoking after the fire was knocked down and firefighters remained on scene to wait for PG&E to turn off all electricity to the building.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Van Elgort said.
