    A one-alarm fire tore through 32 units at Allsafe Storage Facility in Alameda Wednesday morning according to fire officials.

    Alameda Fire Capt. James Colburn said the fire broke out shortly after midnight at at 1 Singleton Avenue, next door to the US Coast Guard housing.

    Many personal storage sheds that have new and restored cars, ATV’s, motorcycles, were damaged or destroyed. Colburn said seven units sustained severe damage and the remaining 25 units sustained minor to severe damage. Firefighters knocked down the fire at 1:15 a.m. and put it out by 3 a.m., he said.
