Firefighters have gained control of a two-alarm fire in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood tonight, a fire dispatcher said.

The blaze was reported at 6:13 p.m. at a building at Leavenworth and O'Farrell streets and was under control by 9:54 p.m., the dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire and extent of damage were not immediately known, according to the dispatcher.

Earlier this evening firefighters responded to a one-alarm fire at the Castro Theatre, located at 429 Castro St.

That blaze was reported at 7:38 p.m. and was under control within 20 minutes, the dispatcher said.
