Firefighters Tackle 3-Alarm Fire in Oakland

Josh Keppel

Not sure if it was the sign, the steam or the flames that caught the attention of the Oakland Fire Department.

Firefighters put out a three-alarm fire at a business in Oakland early this morning at a building containing at least one business, according to a fire dispatcher.

The fire was reported at 3:21 a.m. at a business, believed to be a restaurant, located at 3216 International Blvd., a fire dispatcher said.

No one was inside the building when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 5:20 a.m. this morning.

Crews remained on the scene as of 6:45 a.m., and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
