First Lady of SF Sports Rare Diamond

A world-famous diamond is spending some time in the Bay Area this week and San Francisco's first lady got to take it for a spin.

The Chrysanthemum diamond is a 104 carat stone.

It was found in South America in 1963.

It got its name from its color: brown.

The jewel has 189 facets and is on of the largest brown diamonds ever discovered.

Gavin Newsom's wife, Jennifer Siebel, wore the diamond Tuesday night to a holiday event hosted by the fine jewelry company S.H. Silver.
