Fisherman's Wharf Murders Not Random: SFPD

At first glance a double murder in the heart of San Francisco's tourist district looked like it would have repercussions beyond the small store front where two bodies were discovered Sunday night.

By the light of day Monday morning, police were speaking words of calm; saying the attack was not random and the public was not at risk.

Police said the motive for the killing of a male and a female worker at a shirt shop on Fisherman's Wharf was a dispute with a competitor.

They have a suspect in custody, but would not release his identity. Police said the shooter worked at a nearby shop.

The names of the dead have also not released.
