National Weather Service Issues Flash Flood Warning For Solano and Yolo Counties

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a flash flood warning for Northwestern Solano and Southwestern Yolo Counties until 7 p.m. Sunday.

At 3:58 p.m., Doppler Radar indicated a thunderstorm producing heavy rain over the Wragg Fire burn scar, according to the NWS.

Flash floods and debris flows are expected shortly, NWS officials said. The flows may consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose material, according to NWS officials.

The NWS officials are urging residents to move to higher ground immediately and move away from recently burned areas.

Life threatening flooding of roads, creeks and dry arroyos is likely, NWS officials said.
