The National Weather Service on Thursday issued a flash flood warning for Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa and San Mateo counties and part of the North Bay on Thursday, warning residents of rising water and debris flow.
The alert was issued at 7:15 a.m. for San Rafael and Novato in Marin County, as well as Rohnert Park and Petaluma in Sonoma County through 10:15 a.m.
At about 8 a.m., the National Weather Service issued a warning for San Mateo County, too though 9:30 a.m. There was some flooding on Interstate Highway 280. The cities included in the warning are: San Bruno, San Mateo, South San Francisco, Daly City, San Carlos, Millbrae, Pacifica, Foster City and Burlingame.
At about 8:15 a.m., flash flood warnings were issued for Santa Clara, Contra Costa and Alameda counties.
Meteorologists warned of mud slides and rock slides. A flood warning means that flooding is already happening or it's imminent.
