The sights and sounds of Fleet Week in San Francisco would not be complete without the Blue Angels in the skies. But that's not the only attraction.
On Saturday evening, two dozen naval cadets from Modesto toured San Francisco's Embarcadero and relived this afternoon's air show.
About half dozen military vessels are in San Francisco and open for tours through Monday.
There will be a repeat of the air show from 12:30 p.m. till 4 p.m. on Sunday. On Saturday afternoon, several hundred people crowded Alta Plaza Park in Pacific Heights for a clear view of the air show that featured the Navy's Blue Angels.
Keith Claxton served five years in the Navy.
“I’m so proud to see these planes and am proud of the people that fly these planes,” Claxton said.
However, one person was not too happy about Fleet Week. San Francisco Supervisor John Avalos took to Twitter to vent his anger. He wrote, “Just the thought of a crash over the city should be enough to shut it down.”
