Food Trucks Park Outside San Francisco International Airport

Food trucks are coming to San Francisco International Airport.

Starting Thursday, July 25, the trucks will be dishing up food every Thursday at SFO to give both passengers and the airport's 29,000 employees another option at lunchtime.

Two trucks, specializing in Hawaiian fusion and Indian cuisine, will be parked outside Terminal 1 from 11 a.m. Thursday morning until 2 in the afternoon.

The type of food will change every week.

"This is something both employees and travelers can check out before they go through the security checkpoint," airport spokesman Doug Yakel said.

Tables will be setup so passengers can eat before they go to their gate, Yakel said.

SFO says it will look to expand to more days in the future if this four-week trial run is a success.
