Track crews found a dismembered foot at the Berkeley BART station Monday morning, which officials said most likely belongs to a woman who fell on the tracks last month.

According to the recorded media line, the right foot is connected to a Dec. 20 incident where a woman was hit by a BART train. She survived, but lost her lower right leg.

"No foul play is suspected," spokesman Jim Allison said, adding that this was an "unusual start to the work week."

Service on Monday was halted briefly.
