Forbes: Warriors Sixth Most Valuable NBA Franchise

One year ago, Forbes gave the Warriors a valuation of $1.3 billion — seventh highest in the NBA.

On Wednesday morning, the magazine released its latest NBA franchise valuations.

Golden State is now worth an estimated $1.9 billion — sixth most in the NBA.

Joe Lacob and Peter Guber's ownership group bought the Warriors in 2010 for $450 million.

The Knicks ($3 billion), Lakers ($2.7 billion), Bulls ($2.3 billion), Celtics ($2.1 billion) and Clippers ($2 billion) comprise the Top 5.

The average NBA team is now worth $1.25 billion, a 13 percent increase from 2015.
