Fremont Police Try to Find Wedding Album Owners

Fremont police department goes the extra mile to find couple who lost wedding album.

Fremont police are hoping for a storybook ending in a case of a misplaced or stolen wedding album.

Police are trying to find the couple pictured in wedding album located this week near a child care center.

Officers were called to the Kindercare Child Care Center in Fremont at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after a parent found a gold embossed briefcase under a large tree in the school's parking lot.

The front of the case said "Happy Wedding 12/04/2008 in USA," with a wedding photo of a couple.

The outside of the case also read "Vijay weds Ranjit."

Inside the case were lots and lots of professional wedding photos, according to police.

Officers and property unit staff spent the last couple days doing record and on-line checks in hopes of finding Vijay and Ranjit, but failed.

So the police put the photo out to the public in hopes someone will recognize the couple.

The Property Unit phone number is 510-790-6920.

The Property Unit will be closed for the holiday, but will be open to the public next Monday.

We'll update this story if the couple is located.
