Fremont police are asking for the public's help in finding a 15-year-old girl who walked away from an apartment near Central Park late Sunday night.
Family members of Miloshi Mehta believe she may have taken BART to downtown San Francisco or to an airport to meet a man she met online, according police.
Police said Mehta is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds, and has black eyes and black hair. The tip of her left ring finger was cut off in a childhood accident.
She was last seen wearing a gray Adidas jacket with white stripes, black capri pants with pink stripes, a pink shirt and pink Crocs shoes.
Police said she is not under a doctor's care and takes no medication.
Police said Mehta was reported missing by her father, Miten Mehta, at 11:30 p.m. Sunday when she failed to return from a walk.
She was last seen at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday when she left her uncle's condominium on Red Hawk Terrace, which is near Stevenson Boulevard and Central Park, to go for a walk.
Miloshi Mehta left her cellphone and personal belongings behind, police said.
Fremont police say anyone with information about Miloshi Mehta should call them at (510) 790-6800.
