The Fremont biotechnology company, Zyomyx, was burgalized by two suspected men wearing surgical masks.

A janitor spotted the two suspected men on Dec. 30 after they broke a window and entered into the building in the 6500 block of Dumbarton Circle.

After the janitor allegedly interrupted the burglars, police said they ran back to the window they initially broke.

The janitor found safety in a nearby interior office and immediately called the police.

When officers arrived to the scene the suspects had already fled, and police were unable to find them after searching the property and surroundings.

Police described the suspects as about 20 years old and wearing surgical masks.

Investigators haven't said whether the thieves stole from Zyomyx.
