Giants Food: Black-and-Orange Dining Guide

Where to find Giants-inspired bites

Bay Area chefs are expressing their Giants fever on the plate, making it possible to eat a slice of the baseball action via current specials.

Some dishes are inspired by specific players. Patxi's Pizza serves a Matt Cain (Perfect!) pizza with pepperoni and garlic-fennel sausage at all of its locations (San Francisco, Campbell, Palo Alto, and Lafayette), while San Francisco's Prospect Restaurant offers an off-menu risotto tribute to Barry Zito.

At Fifth Floor, also in San Francisco, the Scutaro Swizzle blends gin, Aperol, Cynar, and soda water. It's the ideal cocktail to wash down plates of black and orange chicken wings in the lounge while the game is broadcast tonight.

For dessert, Berkeley's C.R.E.A.M. has added an ice cream sandwich of pumpkin ice cream and chocolate turtle cookies in the team's honor. Giants-themed cupcakes are also a popular choice, popping up at Sift Cupcake & Dessert Bar (San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Cotati, and Napa) and SusieCakes (San Francisco, Marin, Lafayette, and Menlo Park). Hitting the theme out of the park, the latter has pledged to donate $100 to the Giants Community Fund for every Giants player (past or present) who visits the bakery.
