Body Found in Golden Gate Park

A body was found in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park Tuesday morning, according to police.

The body was found by a city employee about 10 a.m. at Mallard Lake, in the south-central area of the park off King Drive, San Francisco Police Officer Albie Esparza said.

No other details about the case were immediately available from police or park officials.

San Francisco police officials told NBC Bay Area the case is being handled by the city's medical examiner. No further information was available from the medical examiner's office.
