Google Plans to Expand Office Space in Silicon Valley

Google officials are planning to expand in the Silicon Valley and for the first time, they are considering a presence in San Jose.

The company is in talks to lease two expansion sites in Mountain View and another in San Jose, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Google would be joining Apple in planning expansions into San Jose.

Apple recently signed leases on office space that could accommodate as many as 10,000 workers in San Jose.

Economists said the expansion is a good indication that job growth in Silicon Valley remains strong.

San Jose mayor Sam Liccardo did not comment on the plans.
