Fire crews at the Tesoro Refinery in Martinez battled a snall grass fire that broke out early Friday morning was out by Friday morning.
Video shows large, orange flames and a high plume of smoke burning in the marsh to the immediate right of the refinery. It was reported at 12:45 a.m.
Contra Costa County fire crews say their units have left - and that the refinery's own fire crews were working to put it out.
A Tesoro spokesperson said the fire started in a remote location of the property, on the far northeast side. Crews are now letting the fire burn itself out. The spokesperson said there is no health threat to the public.
