San Leandro’s Bay Fair BART station closed for an hour Thursday night after someone was reported pointing a gun near the station.

The station closed around 7:55 p.m. when someone reported that one or two people were aiming a gun at the station, according to BART spokesperson Linton Johnson. There were no shots reported.

Trains did not travel through the station until nearly 9 p.m. so passengers were diverted to AC Transit buses. Trains coming from the area were delayed up to 25 minutes.

BART Police and the California Highway Patrol are investigating the incident. It was not immediately clear whether any arrests were made.
