HBO, Television Has Big Crush on San Francisco, Silicon Valley

San Francisco is a character in one of the new TV shows debuting soon.

We should feel good about being in the Bay Area: Television has a full-on crush on us.

With HBO set to unveil a new comedy about -- what else -- programmers riding the wave of the tech boom entitled -- what else -- "Silicon Valley" in April, TV-watchers can see the region on the small screen this weekend when "Looking" debuts, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

In "Looking," three gay friends played by Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez and Murray Bartlett
go through the motions of life in San Francisco -- which is a "fourth main character" in the show, co-creator Michael Lannan told the newspaper.

"Looking" is also entirely shot in the Bay Area.
