Meth and blowtorches don't mix. Never have.

Drugs are bad -- and blowtorches are worse.

A "long-time methamphetamine user" is in police custody after attempting to burn his daughter's hand with a blowtorh this week, according to reports.

Arnel Pecson, 44, allegedly had a bad hallucination while high on drugs, according to the Hayward Argus. The Union City man saw "figures and faces on the end of her hands," so he picked up a blowtorch to "burn the images off of her hands," the newspaper reported.

Pecson didn't get far -- the daughter, who is in her 20s, escaped and called police without being seriously injured, the newspaper reported. She has declined to press charges against her father, the newspaper reported.
