C&A, a Brazilian fashion retailer, has brought Facebook into your shopping experience by creating hangers that display the number of "likes" a particular piece of clothing has received. Which is exactly how everyone decides on what to buy, right? Sure beats this plastic bottle hanger, at least.
The company's reasoning for building the hangers is easily the best part of its existence. Translated from Portuguese, the company said, "When they go clothes shopping, women always feel insecure and want a second opinion. But one second opinion is never enough. So how about finding what everyone on Facebook thinks of a particular item of clothing? ... So give 'likes' to the clothes you like more and help thousands of women in their difficult mission of choosing the ideal outfit."
The displayed number of "likes" is updated in real time, kind of like a stock exchange! So you can watch as a particularly piece of clothing gains or loses popularity as you decide whether or not to buy it.
