Expect to be happy that you brought that picnic lunch because the picnic areas framed by eucalyptus and oak groves are just what junior needs to roam around – and for you to feel like you got away from it all in the Berkeley hills.

    When to go: Tilden Park is a year-round park, but to enjoy the swimming features of Lake Anza, you’ll need to wait for the summer.
