Homemade Explosives Found in Mission

Mission police officers discovered approximately 63 explosive devices from the home of a Mission resident, Tuesday afternoon, after being tipped off by a concerned citizen.

Mission police officers discovered approximately 63 explosive devices from the  home of a Mission resident, Tuesday afternoon, after being tipped off by a concerned citizen.

Police arrested Jerry Lopez, 44, of San Francisco, after searching his premises and finding, the overall equivalent of approximately 12.4 sticks of dynamite. Some of the explosives are considered a larger equivalent or equal to the military grade M1000's.

Also discovered was a handgun, that was in possession of the resident, who is a convicted felon.
