Hulk Hogan Promises to “Tear Down” Levi's Stadium at WrestleMania 31 Pre-Sale Party

Legendary wrestler pledges to "tear that Levi's Stadium down"

Will Levi's Stadium survive to host Super Bowl 50 in 2016? Not if Hulk Hogan and the WWE have anything to do about it.

Hogan, 61, one of the legends of American professional wrestling, was in the Bay Area this week to pump up possible attendees of WrestleMania 31, which is slated to grace Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara this March.

But, as the San Jose Mercury News reports, this might be the curtain call for the new stadium.

Hogan pledged in an interview with the newspaper to "tear that Levi's Stadium down." He added: "This whole thing is a monster, brother... you cannot even imagine the amount of energy that's going to be blowing out of this Levi's Stadium."

Can the stadium hope to survive? It's unclear if the $1.3 billion stadium's architects planned for such a righteous onslaught, brother.

Tickets to WrestleMania in Silicon Valley run from $35 for cheap seats to $2,000 for a ringside spot that also includes a take-home, commemorative folding chair, the newspaper reported.

In other words, sounds about as peaceful as a typical 49ers-Raiders game.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday, or Thursday for 49ers season-ticket holders, or Friday for Bay Area residents.

In the words of Hunter Pence, who borrowed these words – as well as a WWE championship belt – from underdog hero Daniel Bryan: "Yes! Yes! Yes!"
